Spiritualism and Happiness

Happiness is fugacious, subject to the changes of all things from the weather, mood, surrounding conditions to the size of bank balance. So the perception of happiness differs from individual to individual and society to society depends upon the desire and choice. Some people are happy when they listen to music – a kind of force to meet the soul to god or nature. Music itself has number of variations and differentiation based on the society where music is being performed. Indians generally like India Music and remain happy while listening to it. Some people are so centric listening to music that may be songs, ghazals, bhajans, qawwali, folk songs, music show etc. that even at the time of driving car, motor cycles or bus; they listen to it and remain happy. In this way there number of other aspects which are regarded as pillars of happiness. But if one talks about real happiness that never dies they have to find it in spiritual aspects not in the material aspects. This is one of the main reasons that even the billionaires after getting lot of stress from their material achievement turn to the spiritualism to find the final solace.
We can recently take the example of Michael Jackson who in his last moment of life converted to Islam who found their happiness in it. Another example we can highlight here so far as happiness is concerned is the giant figure in the world information and technology Mr. Bilgates who after achieving the highest kind of materialism in the field of science and technology started the Billgate Foundation for the charitable work where they find the final solace and a kind of spiritual happiness. In India, we have recent example of Music maestro A.R.Rahman who got Oscar Award for his film music production in Slum Dog who before leaving for USA came here in Delhi to offer Chuddar on the mazaar of world renowned saint and sufi Hazrat Nizam Uddin Auliya to find the spiritual blessing. What does it show, though he has achieved the highest position in the world in the field of music which is itself related to spiritualism but still he finds his happiness after visiting the mazaar? Not only this, there are many figures in the world from the film production who delved in the world of spiritualism.
But for those people, who are tensed with the daily life happenings, and the problems which are an output of circumstances and situation in which they are living, there are certain methodologies which they can practice in their day to day life. Some of the essential tips to remain happy are: practice mindfulness; laugh out loud; go to sleep; hum along; De-clutter; just say no; make a list; do one thing at a time; garden; tune out the news; take a dog for a walk; scent the air; ignore the stock market; visit a quiet place; volunteer; Spend time alone for yoga, ayurveda etc.; walk mindfully; give priority to close relationships; take care of the soul; and count your blessings.

Sonar and Las Hogueras de San Juan festivals

There are a lot of places to go this summer and Spain is looking as attractive as always with a host of reasons to make it your destination in the sun. With a booming nightlife in the cities as well as miles of beautiful beaches and a very rich diverse culture, there really is something for everybody.
June promises to be a special occasion with another Sonar festival in the capital. The festival will start on Thursday the 17th and run over 3 days. The event promises to draw in fans of avant-garde, electro, hip hop and dance music from all corners of the globe pulling more and more people in each year. Over the course of the 3 days hundreds of different activities can be expected to run both day and night with two separate scenes for each.
During the day the action will be taking place around the Centre of Contemporary Culture and the Museum of Contemporary Art and runs from midday through to around 10pm predominantly featuring live concerts, DJs and multimedia arts as well as fairs, technology demos and Sonar kids, a set of workshops for the children at the festival.
The night life moves the action away from the city centre. Bus routes will be on hand to get people out the after hours party, which kicks off at around half past 10 and runs all the way through to about half 5 the next morning with an array of live performances and DJs running solid in 3 locations through the night.
Following straight on from this is the Las Hogueras de San Juan or Bonfires of St. John. The festival, dating back to pre-Christian times, is a celebration of the summer solstice and while celebrated all over Spain, is particularly virulent in coastal areas and Alicante. In Alicante the celebration takes place between the 20th and the 29th of the month with the main celebration taking place on the 24th. Leading up to the main event there will be ‘barracas’ set up where most of the festivity will happen and there are fireworks every day at 2pm. The main event on the 24th starts after a fireworks display from Alicante Castle at midnight. This marks the start of burning of all the wooden and paper mache figures dotted around the main squares in the city. Winding down from this, firework displays continue all the way up to the 29th and various entertainments will be prevalent in the town.
With two events back to back it’s well worth considering taking a 2 week break hiring a car and driving down the coast from Barcelona to Alicante. With so much going on it would be hard to get bored and certainly a broad spectrum of the social scene in Spain that will be remembered for many years to come.

Michael Jackson Memorial Program

As a big fan of MJ, I was looking to buy a Michael Jackson memorial program. On research I discovered that there were two MJ memorial programs being available. Since I wanted to buy the authentic and the original one, I did thorough research and now have a copy of the original MJ memorial service program. This is the one which was to be initially passed out at the Staples Center Event with a black cover, but at the last moment a print swap with the memorial book was done and one with a gold cover was eventually passed out.
Details of MJ memorial program are even available at TMZ.com, where they show it having a black cover and not a gold one.
What TMZ.com is showing on their site is also the ‘family and friends’ version of the MJ memorial program i.e. the original one with the black cover, which was handed out to select few people at the memorial service that took place at the Forest Lawn cemetery.
I am glad that could get a copy of the original memorial service program, the one with the black cover, limited copies of which are now available at www.oncealivinglegend.com.
There have been rumors that the gold book was originally supposed to be a European tour book, and these rumors are actually true. It just seems that this European tour book was passed out with a swapped cover at the Staples Center Event.
I would say that the book with the black cover has got treasured pictures of MJ from family’s albums whereas gold book serves only as a MJ memento having pictures of the European Tour Book.
Rumors say that Joe Jackson is suing AEG for swapping the memorial book at the last minute, and I fully support as it seemed AEG were trying to liquidate their inventories of European book in the name of tribute the legendary Michael Jackson.
MJ was truly a legend and will continue to live in the heart of his hundreds of millions of fans across the world. He proved himself to be the greatest talent in music & dance, and will remain till eternity. His contribution to the world of music & dance cannot be quantified and will always remain unsurpassed. I, with countless fans of MJ, will continue to live with his memories and music.
Michael Jackson memorial service program shares the pictures from Michael Jackson’s family’s treasured photo albums and also intends to provide its readers the insight into the life journey of the unforgettable pop star Michael Jackson.
