Lady GaGa The Fame Monster review

Back in may last year Kanye West stated that Lady Gaga is the new Madonna though this statement didn`t surprise anybody because hee had already announced he would go on a tour with her that was lately canceled also posted every video and appearance as a guest she made on his website, and more surprisingly he sampled her vocals from ?Poker Face? with a very good effect on the Kid Cudi song ?Make Her Say?. Even with West being ga-ga for Gaga, the Madonna comparison has already stirred some controversy. Could she really be the next Queen of Pop, despite the released of a single album? Wouldn?t Britney have claimed this title years ago? Also, can there actually be a ?next Madonna? when the she is still alive and in the tops? Hands on deck we can say that we can`t compare the two very good artist: Gaga is Lady gaga and maddona is still madonna and i`m affraid there is not much to talk about comparing the two very well known artists. Now to get back on the album wich at the moment of its creation had around lady gaga the best producers RedOne being the best among them), Lady Gaga started creating a single on ready club-ready beats and very well put toghether synths, always marrying simple metaphors to somewhat “on purpose” to disagree with what was aired at that time at the radio. While famous singers like Madonna and Shakira started turning to producers like the Neptunes to provide almost the same quality sounds, Lady Gaga was smart enough to see that a well build pop song is a sturdy pop song no matter in what context it appeared, and just like Kelly Clarkson?s single ?Since U Been Gone? and Britney?s ?Toxic? previously it, it didn`t take long before ?Poker Face? started getting it`s rock band cover, with all the staff from Daughtry to Christopher Walken getting in on the fire. For the more skeptical ones wich are more old fashioned i have to say that lady gaga`s new album the Frame Monster managed to reach troumendous hights although the track ?Monster? might not be as great as belived but the metaphor “having a boy eat your heart, sure?but eating your brain too?” gives it a unique feel to it, next is the enjoyable dirty retro song ?Dance in the Dark? to make for one impresively effective pop mix. After, of course, we can listen to the much discused Beyonc? collaboration ?Telephone?, wich rapidly and surely climed the tops and has proven to be one of the most adrenaline pumping, enjoying and delightfull songs that Gaga has yet created, the simple colaboration of the two divas simply gives you the feeling that something is going to break because it is simply too good to be true. This colaboration managed to fight with another great creations “i am sasha fears” and you might guess who in my opinion won by a few miles. Just to end this i must say that listening to this album is a simple pleasure and it`s something that every pop music lover should do as soon as posible

The Last Exorcism 2010

After a career spent helping the devout through prayer and trickery, Reverend Cotton Marcus (Patrick Fabian) invites a film crew to document his final fraudulent days as an exorcist. Soon his faith is truly tested when a desperate plea from the father of a possessed girl (Ashley Bell) brings him face to face with the devil himself.

When he arrives on the rural Louisiana farm of Louis Sweetzer, the Reverend Cotton Marcus expects to perform just another routine “exorcism” on a disturbed religious fanatic. An earnest fundamentalist, Sweetzer has contacted the charismatic preacher as a last resort, certain his teenage daughter Nell is possessed by a demon who must be exorcized before their terrifying ordeal ends in unimaginable tragedy.
Buckling under the weight of his conscience after years of parting desperate believers with their money, Cotton and his crew plan to film a confessionary documentary of this, his last exorcism. But upon arriving at the already blood drenched family farm, it is soon clear that nothing could have prepared him for the true evil he encounters there. Now, too late to turn back, Reverend Marcus’ own beliefs are shaken to the core when he and his crew must find a way to save Nell – and themselves – before it is too late.
Produced by Hostel director Eli Roth, The Last Exorcism is a possession horror in the tradition of The Exorcist, but shot in the documentary style of Paranormal Activity, The Blair Witch Project, or if you really want to delve back into the archives, Umberto Lenzi’s grotty man-eating epic Cannibal Ferox.
The recently unveiled trailer shown here is the first glimpse we’ve had of The Last Exorcism, directed by Daniel Stamm, whose last movie was the disturbing A Necessary Death in 2008.
Set on a dilapidated Louisiana farm, Reverend Cotton Marcus agrees to perform one final exorcism on a possessed teenager. Desperate for a bit of cash, Marcus consents to carry out his rites in front of a documentary crew, and the gory, shadowy events shown here is some of the resulting footage.
The trailer is crammed with plenty of familiar horror movie tropes – aggressive backwater yokels and screaming, lank-haired women, but Stamm’s previous form could make The Last Exorcism a late summer fright-fest worth keeping an eye on.
The Last Exorcism is due for release on 27 August.
